ジムニー６４で真っ先にやりたかった事
１）マフラー交換
２）グリル交換
３）トルクアップ
３番目のトルクアップには悩みました。

パワーアップは絶対にやりたかったのですが
それまでクルマなんていじった事が無かったので
何をして良いかわからず、、、
調べていると、サブコン、ミニコン、ブースターと検索条件にヒット。
なんやそれ？名前がわからん・・・
走りながら設定変えるなんて、最初は面白半分でするけど、
飽き性の私の場合、そのうち何もしなくなる。
つけるだけで良い、簡単なものが無いものかと
調べているとありました。
それがHKSさんのパワーエディターでした。
最初は、このパワーエディターとマフラーを別々で調べていましたが
HKS スーパーターボマフラー+パワーエディターパッケージ
というものをYouTubeで知り今に至ります。
まずは、サブコンって何？、ブースターって何？については
簡単に書くと以下になるようです。
■サブコン（スロットル信号補正）：
燃料値を補正して（濃くしたり、薄くしたり）エンジンパワー・レスポンスを向上
または燃料噴射タイミングを変更する装置（機種によって違います）
※ミニコンも同じカテゴリに入るようです
■ブースター（ブーストコントローラー）：
エンジン出力は、シリンダーに送り込まれる空気の量で決まる
空気圧を調整して大きい空気をエンジンルームに送って酸素をたくさん送る装置
今回のパワーエディターはブースターの役割になります。
付け方はこんな感じです。
どの部分に付けるかについては、パワーエディターの白い箱に説明書あります。
取り付け箇所も記載ありますが、白黒の印刷でどこにつけていいか分かりにくいと思います。
ですが、YouTubeでも付け方の解説ありました。
本当にいい時代で助かりました。
コネクターの形状はそれぞれ違うので、
間違える事はないと思います。
コネクターは結構硬かった。
無理やり引っ張りそうになりました。
無事取り付けが終わり、エンジンスタートして動作確認！
エンジンかけると、このように赤くヒカリます。（エラーのランプではありません）
もし電子制御が壊れた場合、ノーマルモードに戻るそうです。
さすが老舗のHKSさん安心設計。
で、結果どうだったか、、、
鈍感な私でもわかるくらい、確実にパワーアップを感じました。
他のメーカーでも良い製品はありますが買って良かったです。
今思うと安価なリーガルマフラー と パワーエディター
でも良かったかも知れません。

Blessed thing to do, Emily. I, too, lost 3 cats last year. Two of my own and one we adopted that was left behing when people moved. They were all old about 12-14 and died of old age.
